Eve Taylor Age Resist Illuminating Serum is Eve Taylors home care treatment for hyperpigmentation such as sun damage, hormonal pigmentation also known as Melasma and Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Melasma can be quite complex, especially as it can also be hereditary. The pigmentation ultimately results from the overproduction of melanin by melanocytes (pigment cells). Sun exposure such as ultraviolet and visible light promotes melanin production which can also lead to melasma. The other cause is Pregnancy and hormones such as the use of oestrogen/progesterone-containing oral contraceptives along with implants and hormone replacement therapy.

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is marking left on the skin caused by inflammation and immune responses to skin injury or trauma.
