While Monday saw the easing of restrictions in England, at Turn Beautiful we have no plans to stop wearing masks in the salon. The safety of our clients and staff is our absolute priority.
🌟 Meet Anna! 🌟
Hey there, lovely people! Anna here, your friendly neighbourhood student therapist on a journey of transformation and self-discovery. 🌈
📚 Learning and Growing:
I’m currently on an exciting adventure as a student therapist, soaking up the knowledge and wisdom to support and uplift those around me. Thanks to the incredible folks at Turn Beautiful, I’m gaining the skills and insight needed to make a real impact in the world of beauty and self-care.
🕴️ Career Transition:
Life has a funny way of guiding us, and I’m proof of that! Before stepping into the beauty industry, I spent years in the world of recruitment. But you know what they say, change is the only constant! I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion for beauty and skincare into a fulfilling career.
💆 Beauty Meets Wellbeing:
One thing that truly sets my heart on fire is the incredible fusion of skincare and personal wellbeing. There’s something magical about nurturing our outer beauty and inner balance simultaneously. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling fabulous inside and out!
🏳️⚧️ Embracing My Truth:
I’m proudly an openly trans woman, and I’m here to spread love, positivity, and empowerment. It’s important to live our truth, and I’m thrilled to be on this path, embracing who I am and supporting others to do the same. 🏳️⚧️
Join me on this adventure of self-discovery, self-care, and self-love. Let’s shine and radiate together, one skincare routine at a time! ✨💄💕 #SelfLove #SkincareMagic #TransPride #transpridebrighton #brightonpride #transisbeautiful ... See MoreSee Less

☀️ It's Sun Awareness Week, and it will come as no surprise that we are big SPF advocates here
But why is wearing SPF every day so important?
The sun emits UV rays that can cause skin damage if they're not blocked. Exposure to UV radiation is the primary factor of extrinsic skin ageing; it accounts for about 90% of facial ageing.
The two main types of UV rays are UVA and UVB.
UVA (A = ageing) rays penetrate deep into the skin, causing premature ageing and wrinkles, while UVB (B = Burney) rays cause sunburns. Both are harmful to your skin, and present all year round, even when it's cloudy.
Unprotected exposure to UVA and UVB damages the DNA in skin cells, producing genetic defects, or mutations, that can lead to skin cancer.
Therefore, it's vital to wear a broad-spectrum, high-factor SPF every day, even if it's cloudy.
