DMK Alkaline Wash is a specialist treatment designed to reduce fine, downy hair and improve overall skin texture.
It is particularly helpful for areas where there is a high volume of soft hair, allowing larger areas to be treated more efficiently.
Electrolysis can treat all hair types, including fine, downy hair. However, where there is a dense distribution of softer hair, DMK Alkaline Wash can be used to reduce this more efficiently across larger areas.
This treatment can be used on its own or alongside electrolysis as part of a more tailored, long-term hair removal plan.
As well as reducing hair, it can help leave the skin feeling smoother and more refined.

About
DMK Alkaline Wash works by temporarily raising the skin’s pH, allowing fine hair and keratin build-up to soften.
This process helps to:
-
break down fine, downy (vellus) hair
-
loosen dead skin and build-up
-
improve the overall feel and texture of the skin
Unlike traditional hair removal methods, this treatment allows larger areas of fine hair to be treated at once, rather than removing each hair individually.
The treatment is applied directly to the skin and may create a warming or tingling sensation as it works. This is a normal part of the process.

How this works alongside electrolysis
Electrolysis remains the gold standard for permanent hair removal and can treat all hair types, including fine, downy hair.
In cases where there is a dense distribution of softer hair, DMK Alkaline Wash can be used to reduce this more efficiently across larger areas.
This can then allow electrolysis to focus on remaining hairs more precisely, creating a more refined and long-lasting result.
It can also be used following electrolysis to gently remove remaining fine hairs and improve overall skin smoothness.
