Japanese Deep Tissue Massage is a specialist, holistic treatment combining a wide range of techniques, including deep tissue work, assisted stretching and gentle joint mobilisation.

Working across multiple layers of the body, this approach focuses on restoring balance, improving posture and supporting natural movement, rather than treating one area in isolation.

The treatment uses a combination of controlled pressure, movement and positioning to help release tension, improve mobility and encourage a greater sense of alignment throughout the body.

It also supports a feeling of overall balance and ease, helping both the body and mind to settle without feeling overwhelming.

Many clients describe feeling lighter, more aligned, and even “straighter” after their treatment.

The massage is performed on a comfortable floor mat, allowing for a greater range of movement and technique than a traditional treatment bed.

You remain fully clothed throughout.

This allows for a more tailored and responsive treatment, adapted to your body on the day.

Before Your Treatment

To help you get the most from your treatment:

  • Please bring loose, comfortable clothing (e.g. joggers and a cotton T-shirt)

  • Avoid very heavy meals just before your appointment

  • Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in

If you have any injuries, medical conditions or concerns, please let your therapist know before your treatment begins.

After Your Treatment

After your massage, you may feel:

  • deeply relaxed

  • slightly stretched or “looser” in the body

  • occasionally a little tender in areas that held tension

To support your results:

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Take things gently for the rest of the day

  • Avoid intense exercise immediately after
