Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical and non-invasive method to replicate hair follicles or strands and using natural pigments which are deposited into the epidermal layer of the scalp through the use of a sterile micro needle which creates the smallest impressions of hair follicles to ensure this replicates the current hair size and direction.

A qualified technician will carry out this procedure after studying the clients head and area of concern. They will then provide in-depth feedback on the best way for us to proceed with treatment.

After we have studied the clients head we can customise your shade to best match your skin tone and natural hair colour. The treatment  is split into three sessions, with a duration of 2-4 hours each time.

Scalp Micropigmentation For Men:

Buzz It Off
Scalp Micropigmentation is an innovative solution to male pattern hair loss, thinning and baldness. The technique can be mastered to achieve great results when giving the illusion of hair. If you are experiencing male pattern hair loss and you are seeking an alternative to a hair transplant then you can opt for a naturally close shaved look with SMP.
It can redefine those lost hairlines and as mentioned create the illusion of entirely new hair follicles.
Density Building
Scalp micropigmentation is a fantastic option for eliminating the visibility of the scalp, by reducing the visual effects of hair loss with SMP coverage.
Some men (and women) may start noticing that their hair is thinning in certain areas and may want to use this technique to provide coverage to the area in concern. This treatment will provide immediate results and provide an illusion of thicker hair by uniting the gap between the hair and the bare scalp.
You can continue to use other hair loss solutions and medications whilst opting for this certain treatment. Though we would advise not to continue topical use for 14 days prior to treatment and 14 days after. It is also advised to keep 10 days between each treatment. Each session can take a few hours.
SMP and Hair Transplant
Scalp Micropigmentation and Hair Transplants are becoming quite the popular duo.
A number of clients prefer to get SMP 6 months after their hair transplant procedure to add extra density this can occur due to a small donor area.
Others may prefer to get SMP done prior to getting a hair transplant to ease and build the gradual transformation of thicker hair.
This combination works great for those wanting to attain a fuller head of hair. Clients who have undergone a hair transplant may not have garnered the results they had hoped for and may opt for SMP instead as opposed to another hair transplant.

Scalp Micropigmentation For Women:

Hair Thinning
Scalp Micropigmentation is ideal for disguising female hair loss and baldness. Which can be just as distressing as male hair loss. We measure women’s hair loss using the Savin Scale.
Female baldness and hair loss is different from men.  Often hair is retained but has thin coverage, it can be most obvious depending on how the hair is parted.
Hair loss through hair braiding, tight ponytails, alopecia and harsh hair products and medications are all perfectly suitable for treating with SMP.
Density Building
Many women can suffer from hair loss for a plethora of reasons. Such as hormonal changes, vitamin deficiency and overuse of hair products and equipment.
Women often seek other ways to combat their hair loss and may use a variety of hair loss solutions. These can be rather costly and time consuming with very few improvements over time. Some methods can intensify natural hair loss i.e. wearing hair wefts or weaving techniques or wearing hair systems. These can pull on existing hair strands causing traction alopecia.
Scalp Micropigmentation provides an instant, permanent and non-invasive solution. By providing an illusion of thicker hair uniting the gap between the hair and the bare scalp.

Scalp Micropigmentation for Scarring

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) are the two most popular methods of hair transplants. The process of this can lead to scarring and Scalp Micropigmentation is the perfect solution to camouflaging the scars.
Scars from previous injuries or surgeries are also treatable with SMP. We advise you to wait at least 6 months post-injury/surgery or hair transplant before undergoing SMP.

Scalp Micropigmentation for Alopecia

Alopecia is considered as a general term for hair loss, there are different types of alopecia that scalp micropigmentation can help with. This can consist of disguising any patches and will visually look like hair follicles.
Alopecia areata is the most common type found, it does not cause any scarring, and often starts as a small coin patch of hair loss. Hair loss through Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis can also be treated with SMP. Due to the large area needing to be covered, this may take more sessions to complete.
We would advise that as these conditions are autoimmune disorders, it may be necessary to leave a longer time in between sessions to achieve the desired result and allow the body a long time to heal.
Scalp Micropigmentation doesn’t prevent any hair regrowth from returning in the future, so is the perfect solution to the distress caused by this condition.
