What is a MicroZone Treatment?
A Microzone treatment is basically a 20minute targeted mini facial treatment. I offered this type of quick treatment prior to working with Dermalogica. It started after a regular client asked if she could come back sooner for further extractions. As a result this progressed to peels and other exfoliation treatments to target pigmentation and scarring.
Once I had completed my initial Dermalogica training I began to study their selection of mini treatments, which they call Microzones. These brilliantly effective treatments target a specific zone in 20 minutes.
I have a couple of firm favourites:
Blackhead Relief
Obviously your first has a special place in your heart ;). The extraction treatment can also be applied to other areas such as the back. Its a good start to clearing congested skin and offers good hydration.
Age Management
This includes the MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque (known in the trade as a 13yr old in a bottle). It’s the ultimate facial rejuvenator and plumper as a result perfect for a pre-night out. The treatment gives the skin a vitamin and hydration boost which is key to anti-ageing.
Rapid Spot Clearing
Does exactly what it says on the tin! Using one of Dermalogica’s powerful exfoliation systems. This system contains an acid activator and an enzyme base powder. Salicylic acid creates a whirlpool that spirals into the pores. Papain is an enzymatic base that acts like a Pacman eating bacteria and dead skin cells. Combined they reduce the spot causing bacteria and inflammation, clearing spots rapidly!
The microzone treatments are all available everyone with specific ones for men. One for oily/combination skin and one for those with sensitive skin. These treatments help with razor irritation along with excess oil and redness, but still very manly 😉
